My name is Don and I am a professional software developer with 10 years of experience creating custom applications for clients of all kinds located in sunny Scottsdale, AZ. I get things right the first time and I communicate with my clients the whole way through. It’s true, I have a full time job that I’m very happy with. It’s also true that I spend my nights writing software in a moonlighting capacity for clients large and small and have for several years.

If you’re serious about getting your project completed on time and on budget, I’m ready to help. From custom WordPress development to full .Net based enterprise applications, I have the skills to make your idea a reality. Look below to see real work that I’ve done for organizations big and small. I work directly with all my clients. You deal with me one on one and you get what you ask for. It’s really that simple.

Background

I started out writing custom PHP applications on Mac OS 10.1 and wrote custom WordPress code before it was a household name. For several years PHP was my native tongue and I wrote several content management systems, e-commerce applications and a few intranets using the LAMP stack.

I later discovered ASP.Net when it was in its infancy. Since then, I’ve built a career developing enterprise applications with ASP.Net. I’ve consulted on behalf of Microsoft, worked for one of the largest software consulting firms in the world and architected an e-commerce platform for a very well-know retailer in my spare time. Look, I’m not bragging here, I’m trying to get your business. If you’re still skeptical, take a look at my skillset below.

Skillset

Linux/Apache/MySql/PHP development

Custom Worpress Development (themes and plugins)

ASP.Net applications big and small

.Net Desktop applications including Silverlight and WPF

Web Services and custom API development

Front-end development including HTML, CSS and JavaScript (with JQuery of course)

Some of My Work

Most of the work I do is not publicly viewable, but below you will find a few links to some of my work that is available to see.

The Children’s Place Data Tier Architecture and WCF API

Working under freelance contract, I helped The Children’s place develop their new data tier architecture using Entity Framework and a heavily abstracted repository implementation. From there we designed a web service tier using Windows Communication Foundation to support multiple clients.

Jet Fool ASP.Net MVC Project

I wrote Jet Fool to satisfy my own desire to record my air travel. This application uses ASP.Net MVC 3.0, Entity Framework and a lot of jQuery. Try it out yourself with the link below.
